With its impressive dome and 79 m high belfry, St Nicholas´ Church rises in the centre of the Lesser Town Square. This church is the most significant creation of high Baroque in Prague and was built between 1673 and 1755 on behalf of the Jesuits. It is a magnificent masterpiece of the Bavarian master builders Christoph and Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer.

The church interior is decorated with lavish splendour. The ceiling fresco is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and spreads over some 1.500 m2.

We highly recommend regular concerts that take place in the church. The atmosphere is overwhelming. You can find more information on St Nicholas´ Church website.
